Kelty Trekker External Frame Pack Reviews
Kelty Trekker External Frame Pack Reviews
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful Great pack, a "best buy", This review is from: Kelty Trekker External Frame Pack (Sports) Summary: A good pack, good value, and very adjustable.Who might like it: People who need to carry a heavy load. Background: I am a 55 yo who is re-discovering backpacking. My experience: I followed current fashion and bought an internal frame from a respected manufacturer. As long as the weight was in the mid- 30's, that pack was fine. I bumped up the weight to 40-45 range to do conditioning hikes. Those higher weights go beyond what that internal frame design could control comfortably. Now I bought the Kelty Trekker 65 and that fixed the problem. I won't bother going back to my internal frame pack. I like the compartments and organization of the Kelty Trekker better. Plus the upper fabric sleeve extension makes it easy to pack a bear can. To top it off, the Kelty Trekker was less expensive than the internal frame pack it replaced. Love it!, Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Kelty Trekker External Frame Pack (Sports) This is a great pack! Another review complained about poor quality compared to older packs. I do not agree at all. While it may seem like less quality materials, it is simply a matter a making the pack lighter, without sacrificing quality. This is a very light, and well built pack. Just Right!, This review is from: Kelty Trekker External Frame Pack (Sports) This backpack is just perfect for my needs. It is the right size for camping for three days and has just the right amount of compartments for carrying those little items that you need to get to without unpacking the entire pack. |
