It may not be as decorative as the Lodge lid lifter, but it holds the lid much more secure...and that's what you really want in this type of product.It has a little foam piece around the part where you put your palm, which is nice. All you do is put the middle hook in the dutch oven lid loop, pull up on the T-bar with your fingers and the hook pulls the lid up tight against the three prongs. Very secure.
