This filter installs before the heater and works like a charm!! Water heater has experienced no scaling and no loss of efficiency for over a year and a half! I replace the filter every 6 months. Replacement is easy as can be.I highly recommend this product! It had been installed since it would void my warranty if I did not have a descaler or a water softener. I checked it 6 months out and there's still descaler pellets in there (since I use so little hot water) so it's good to know, they just don't melt sitting there. It was easy to install and easy to change out cartridges.FYI--Take the time and put two valves in (input/output)--makes it a lot easier to service. |
