Tissot Men's T33758841 T-Touch Titanium Watch

Product Description

Tissot brings its tradition of technological innovation to the T-Touch titanium men's analog/digital watch, which offers eight separate functions that are easily accessible via the watch's touch screen. In addition to precise, Swiss-manufactured timing features, the T-Touch also offers an altimeter, compass, thermometer, and barometer for tracking meteorological trends. The different functions are listed around the edge of the dial--just press that area of the dial to activate it. The watch case and bracelet are made from solid titanium, which is nearly 50 percent lighter than steel, but 30 percent stronger. It's also particularly resistant to salt water corrosion, as well as hypo-allergenic--perfect for those with metal allergies. The digital chronograph enables you to time events up to 10 hours, displaying results to 1/10th of a second, and it offers standard start/stop functionality as well as a split (intermediate) function. The large round silver stainless steel watch case measures 40mm (1.6 inches) wide and is topped by a rounded, bidirectional rotating bezel with engraved directional markings. It has a blue dial face with large, luminous white hands. Other features include a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and water resistance to 30 meters (100 feet).

About Tissot
For more than 150 years, Tissot has embodied the innovation and tradition of Swiss watch-making. Based in the Neuchâtel area of the Jura Mountains, in Le Locle, Switzerland, Charles-Félicien Tissot and his son Charles-Emile created the watch making company Tissot in 1853. Whether in the technology of its movements, in the research for special materials or in the very functions of the watch itself, Tissot's engineers and watchmakers have developed pioneering timepieces over the years. A member of the Swatch Group since 1985, Tissot watches are available in over 140 countries around the world.

Tissot uses the best movements (from ETA SA Manufacture Horlogère Suisse), the highest quality materials (316L steel, 18K gold, titanium) and scratchproof glasses (sapphire crystal--at least 2500 Vickers). The company's timepieces have also been chosen as official timekeepers for world championships in cycling, motorcycling, fencing and ice hockey.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great watch and conversation piece, January 20, 2007

This watch combines analog and digital display with style and flare. Amaze your friends with the T-Touch functions, especially the compass and the weather prediction. The true usefulness of a few functions is questionable: the thermometer, for example, always gives a reading somewhere between your body temperature and the ambient temperature. If you want to know the real temperature, you have to take the watch off for 15-30 minutes. The titanium version is very light -- worth the extra cost in my book. Scratch-resistant sapphire crystal was an important feature for me because I wear my watch all the time and always end up with scratches on the glass -- none so far on this watch. One major, inexplicable flaw: there's no light! This is a battery-powered watch; couldn't they have at least included a light on the digital display? The analog display glows in the dark, but forget about checking the digital time, the altitude, the temperature or using the stopwatch in low light conditions... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Watch, But Warning, Stay Out Of Water, June 22, 2008

This review is from: Tissot Men's T33758841 T-Touch Titanium Watch (Watch)
This is a fantastic watch. I've had mine for three or four years and it looks to me like they are still the same watch. But for 2 reasons I give four instead of five stars:
1)If the light is just a bit on the dark side it is difficult to see the LED read out and there is no watch light. If there was a light with this watch it would truly be a marvel.

Second defect: I don't know if Tissot improved on this but do not put this watch in water. They say it is good to 30 meters but it was BS in my experience. I put it one foot in a hot tub and it went bonkers. It took Tissot months and months to fix it. Thinking it was OK to put in water after it was repaired I briefly put it water again and it went kaput a second time. Tissot again took several months to fix it once more.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great time piece., August 30, 2007

This review is from: Tissot Men's T33758841 T-Touch Titanium Watch (Watch)
The box it arrived in weighed slightly over two pounds, but hardly any of they weight was the watch itself. It comes with more manuals than a scanning electron microscope--that is the weight. The watch itself is very light for its size and was my greatest first impression of the watch. The solid titanium attributes to its light weight. The manual is not quite as intuitive as one may like, but once you make sense of the pictographic instructions, setting the time, date or even magnetic variance of the compass is as easy as pie. For being a large-frame watch, it has the style you'd expect from Tissot and the blue face really brings that out. Great watch, great buy.
