Before Old Spice Fiji body wash, my life was a total waste. Every day I woke up and showered with the same nondescript bar soap that had been a staple of my hygiene for so long, and every day I plodded through the mundane rat race we call "life," expecting no happiness or joy. Then, one seemingly ordinary afternoon, I was shopping for groceries at Wal-Mart when a heavenly fragrance greeted my nostrils. I inhaled deeply, savoring the scent of sun-kissed beaches, luxurious tropical oceans, and just a hint of sweet, exotic pineapple. I used to use Axe shower gel. The green one in the clear bottle that they no longer make, smelled like limes. Since that was discontinued, I have switched to Old Spice body washes. They seem to get the job done, as far as shower gels go, and the scents arent bad.That is where I have a problem with the Fiji body wash. I like the Fiji Deoderant/Anitpersprant, hence why I decided to try the body wash. Opening the bottle for the first time, I could barely smell it. Trying it in the shower, the same thing, the strength of the scent was weak compared to other Old Spice scents. I wondered if the 3-pack I bought was just a lot with not alot of the "scent" in it. I finally found it at a local store, checked that the lot number was different, and noticed the same thing, I could barely smell anything. My husband always smells good, probably because he owns almost every scent you could imagine. He likes to mix things up according to how he's feeling. Before Old Spice's "Fiji," my favorite scent on him was "Ocean" by Bath and Body Works. The scent was fresh, clean and masculine. When he came home with "Fiji," though, I found my new favorite scent for him. Like "Ocean," the scent is fresh, clean, and masculine, but it's also soft with an even bigger hint of tropical paradise. I love it.According to him, it doesn't dry out his skin, nor does it leave a soapy residue like other products. The scent lingers and follows him as he walks through the house. When he gets out of the shower, the fragrant aroma fills the house so I save a lot on air freshener. Another plus! |
