They worked very well. I've never worn such a comfortable mask before! I have quite a narrow face and I had no problems with fit. The super soft silicone skirt stayed leak free without much pressure from the straps. No more painful mask lines! After three or four days of beard stubble, I did have a little water get in below the nose pocket, but just keeping positive pressure in the mask (blowing out through my nose) dealt with the problem. After I shaved my upper lip clean, it was dry as could be. Visibility was amazing! Like all masks, some kind of defogger is needed, but once prepared, it stayed fog-free for the whole dive. The clear skirt does allow some glare when at the surface in early morning and late afternoon light. But otherwise the clear silicone gave the mask a very light and airy feel in the water. This review is from: Cressi Matrix 2-Lens Diving Mask and Gamma Snorkel Combo (Sports) The mask and the snorkel are perfect and very stylish... the only thing is that the piece of plastic that attaches the snorkel to the mask is not reliable at all and I almost lost my snorkel twice while diving. so do use a regular rubber thingy to secure your snorkel. However, I research the daylights out of my products and settled with this mask and am quite happy with it's performance. To begin, I identified various scuba mask manufacturers and companies that were respected. Cressi was amongst that list along with many others. I then read reviews here, but primarily on scuba forums and the Cressi website. Then, based on price I finally decided to pull the trigger for this mask. My few observations regarding performance. While the lens are quite close to your eyes to enable a very wide field of vision it does not make your eyes claustrophobic. I was nervous they would be literally sitting millimeters from my eye balls...that is not the case. The snorkel worked great. I never really understand the purge function of a snorkel and am not even sure if this one has it, but I never use them. I used this to scuba and rarely surface swim...
